    Dr Le is committed to providing great medical care and treatment. Medical management is not synonymous with bombarding patients with medications or surgical procedures (either of which should be resort to when absolutely necessary).  70% of diagnoses can be made with a thorough (and accurate) history and physical alone - making a strong rapport and mutual trust between provider/patient vital to optimal management - the remaining 30% of the time in which a diagnosis is equivocal, a work-up (eg bloodwork or imaging) is helpful to confirm or rule out a clinical suspicion. 

    What is important to you is also important to Dr Le and he takes all your concerns seriously and will delve into them with the attention the issue deserves.

What services do we offer?

    We are a primary care clinic for age 18+. As an internal medicine practice, we are generally more knowledgeable in the management of medical conditions and diseases afflicting adults (eg difficult to control high blood pressure, diabetes, coronary arterial disease, post-stroke, post-MI's). With more exposure comes more first hand knowledge and experience, which builds confidence and comfort in managing this age group.

  
     As food for thoughts, when was the last time you think a pediatrician had to ask their patients "Do you have a history of a heart attack? What about a stroke?" Internists' mindsets, by virtue of our training and exposure, are different and we account for the natural wear and tear that comes with age and manage you accordingly. 

      As you wouldn't let an anesthesiologist cut into you, nor a surgeon to sedate you, adults with complex disorders should ideally be managed by an internist. There should be consideration of how much rapport you have with your current clinician. Many years of building rapport with a physician will not easily be regained over a short period of time. Good rapport serves as a foundation towards good care, as there may be challenging times in which there is no correct answer and you both have to take a leap of faith together.
